So...you know when you're astage school kid... n u always make your family watch little shows you wanna put on for them instead of jus letting them watch the telly...well that was me im afraid to say..HAHA!!

Well back then when i was a wee bit younger there was always this one song that would be a frequent request in these lil shows from the family memebers... it kinna haunts me ive sung it everywhere from weddings to...random bunch of places..

Beautiful song that is "Wind beneath my wings" from the amazing film Beaches and performed by the equally amazing Bette Midler!!

Anyway, my Nana (who has always been a big part of my life) has been requesting for years for me to record a version as a gift to her so she can listen to it whenever she wants, but life being so busy n all ive neva managed to get round to it!!

My wee Nana is in a home now n its all a bit sad, so i was excited when a chance came up for me last week to finally get to do it. Friend of mine has newly opened his own studio down in Eastbourne (CMP Studios) and for the 1st week just wanted to get used to all the new equipment, so he invited me down to spend the day at the studio :-)

So aside from a good writing session (of which you will hear the outcome of soon) i also managed to get in the booth quickly to record the song for my nana :-)

Accompanied by an amazing pianist...this is what i have...



Im so proud i could actually finally do this one special things for my nana :-)

Also, found out shes the vocalist on the hook of Flo Rida's "Right Round"... so why she not in the video? I thot it was the gal in the video that was the singer loool dumb

Anyway, shes been signed to RCA after the commercial exposure from the Flo Rida track n is working on her debut album, i liv this track so im intrigued to see whats next...

OMG im soooo happy!!! Maxwell is back!!!

I actually love this man. He's going on tour, but seemingly only in the states so far :-( boohoo! I would love to see him live!!



The 1st single from the album is called "Pretty Wings" n im really likin it so far... not disappointed yet!!!



This man is probably one of the reason's i fell in love with my neo soul... spent many an hour listening to him... cant believe his label Colombia shelved "Urban Hang Suite" for 2 years in doubt of the albums potential. Thankfully, it was finally released in 1997 and went on to be nominated for a Grammy so i have high hopes for the new album... cant wait to hear it!!!! Seemingly "Black Summers Night" will be a trilogy of 3 albums, the 1st one "Black" being released this year, "Summers" in 2010 and finally "Night" in 2011!!! So we have alot to look forward to... ;-)

Sooo...i havent blogged in a while....been movin house n all that bizniz!!! Finally livin myself n LOVIN IT might i say :-p

Nehoooo.....felt 2nite was perfect time to get back on my bloggin bandwagon as an outstandingly talented bunch of Londoner's who go by the name "Flawless" wowed the British public 2nite with their beyond amazing skills....

I know a couple of the guys and feel so overly proud that fellow young creatives in the London scene are doing big things... i really think they have a big chance of winning...i only presume you will agree when you see it :-) Only lil thing that could hold them back could be the fact that a dancer won last year??? Lil George Sampson is a sweetheart, i did his make up a while back for a shoot and he was a doll and i still wish all the luck to him!! However, i really hope that the public dont hinder Flawless' chance of winning due to this factor as they reeeeally deserve to hit the top, even more so than they have already!!!

I don't think Lady GaGa is being given enough credit and respect for how amazing she is right now...she is a true artist!! She has taken over the industry and well...world like wildfire!! She sings...writes....dances...ooozes individuality and as we see here plays keys! Plus probably an endless list of otha stuff!! I dont know about anyone else, but i was deeply saddened when i heard of Heath Ledger's death, such a loss at such a young age. I was really hoping he would win the Oscar for his amazing portrayal of the Joker in The Dark Knight and he did!!! Watching his family collect the award on his behalf made me really emotional...
